Loading a route from the app takes seconds and the turn prompts are clear without being naggy. The colour screen is sharp and, crucially, legible in the kind of grey overcast we ride in most of the year.
Mapping is more functional than beautiful and you will want the companion app to do any real planning. But for the core job — follow this line, do not get lost — nothing we have used is calmer.
