There is not much to say about a stove that just works, which is the highest praise a stove can get. The PocketRocket 2 is 73 grams of utterly dependable canister burner.

The bottom line

Boils water, weighs nothing, never lets you down.

The review

It lights first click, holds a flame in a breeze better than its size suggests, and brings half a litre to the boil while you are still rigging the tent. We have used the same unit for three seasons.

There is no piezo igniter and no pot support for very wide pans, so pack a lighter and keep your cook system sensible. At this weight and price, those are not really complaints.
