The Disco solves the eternal mummy-bag problem — room to move — without giving up the warmth. The spoon shape and thermal gills let side-sleepers actually sleep.

The bottom line

A down bag shaped like a quilt had a good idea.

The review

Two zippered gills across the chest dump heat on warmer nights, then close down when the temperature drops. It is a genuinely clever bit of design that earns its place once the mercury falls.

It is a touch heavier and bulkier than a top-end quilt, and the hydrophobic down is good rather than miraculous in a damp tent. For most riders chasing comfort over grams, that is a fair trade.
