The Bjärö Peninsula Loop trades coastline for the rougher inland country behind it — a rolling, repeatedly-uphill circuit through the forests and farmland of inland Halland. Nothing here is a mountain, but the climbing never really stops: short ramps out of every valley, a long enough day that the legs know exactly how much has accumulated by the final hour. It's a training-ground route more than a postcard one, the kind of loop that rewards riders who like their long rides with texture rather than flat kilometres. There's no single dramatic climb here, which is exactly the point — it's the accumulation of short, repeated ramps that makes the final quarter feel harder than the elevation total suggests. The mixed paved-and-gravel surface means a gravel bike is the right tool; a road bike will manage the tarmac sections fine but struggle wherever the route dips onto farm track. Riders training for a bigger climbing-heavy event elsewhere use this as a proxy — it won't replicate real mountains, but the sheer number of ramps builds a similar kind of leg fatigue.
